A new youth flag football platform is being developed to create a more connected competitive future for teams, clubs, athletes, and families.
Allen, Texas – September 7, 2026 — iFlag (formerly USA Flag) and 5v5 Sports, under the new iFlag Youth brand, today announced that Road To Worlds, a new youth-focused competition platform, is in development and will be formally unveiled later this Fall.
Created for competitive youth flag football club teams, Road To Worlds represents a shared vision for a more connected future in the sport. The initiative will bring together the experience, event leadership, and reach of both organizations to create a platform that gives youth teams greater purpose, continuity, and opportunity throughout their competitive journeys.

Road To Worlds is being developed to connect the youth game in a way that is ambitious, meaningful, and centered on the teams and clubs helping drive the sport forward.” said Travis Burnett of iFlag.
The announcement marks the next step in the planned collaboration between iFlag and 5v5 Sports. Together, the organizations are developing Road To Worlds around a simple promise: offer a fully encompassing and inclusive competitive tournament platform where competition feels connected to something larger while preserving the excitement, identity, and championship experience that youth teams and families value.
“This is about creating something the youth flag football community can believe in and grow with. We are combining two organizations with deep experience in youth sports to build a platform designed for the future – not just the next tournament.” said Monty Holloway of 5v5 Sports.
Road To Worlds will be designed specifically for competitive youth club teams at every stage of development. The full announcement will introduce the platform’s purpose, national vision, competitive experience, and long-term opportunity for teams, clubs, athletes, coaches, families, partners, and host communities.
“This is about building something that teams can be proud to be part of and work towards throughout the season,” said Cassie Furler of iFlag. “We want every tournament to have purpose, every result to matter, and every team to understand where it’s competitive journey can lead.” Added Furler.
