The upcoming domestic and international platform will connect premier youth tournaments with elite championship events, helping advance the sport as it enters a new era of structured growth and global development.

ALLEN, Texas – July 2026 – iFlag (formerly USA Flag) and 5v5 Sports today announced plans to unite their youth initiatives under a unified brand, iFlag Youth. Focused exclusively on youth flag football, the new venture will combine iFlag’s championship reach and established market presence with 5v5 Sports’ brand vision, event-management expertise, and operating capabilities.

Together, the organizations will architect and deliver a new youth flag football competition platform designed to strengthen how young athletes, teams, and clubs compete, develop, and advance within the sport. The platform will create a more connected competitive experience while supporting the continued growth of youth flag football domestically and internationally.

“This is more than a series of youth flag football tournaments,” said Charles Davis of iFlag. “It marks the beginning of a new era for youth flag football. Together, we are building a connected competition model that will help young athletes prepare for the highest levels of the sport.”

The collaboration brings together iFlag’s championship-event experience, global reach, and leadership in the sport with 5v5 Sports’ extensive background in youth event operations, club development, and competitive programming. The resulting offering will connect premier youth tournaments with elite championship stages across the United States and international markets, creating meaningful opportunities for teams at every stage of development.

“The new iFlag Youth competition platform will give youth flag football teams something the industry has long needed: a clear and rewarding competitive journey with extensive opportunities for club teams and players,” said Monty Holloway of 5v5 Sports. “We want coaches to have access to events suited to their teams’ competitive level so players can develop their skills and prepare for the opportunities that fit their goals – whether that is college, professional competition, or national-team play.”

Designed for teams at different stages of development, the platform is expected to establish consistent competitive standards while expanding high-quality opportunities for athletes, coaches, clubs, and families. It will support elite teams seeking the highest level of competition while giving emerging programs a structured pathway to grow, improve, and advance.

“Every team develops at a different pace,” said Cassie Furler of iFlag. “Our goal is to give top teams the opportunity to compete at the highest level while providing emerging teams with a meaningful way to improve, earn advancement, and take on stronger competition.”

iFlag and 5v5 Sports are finalizing the competition platform’s structure, competitive pathway, branding, and launch details. The full program and its long-term vision will be officially unveiled later this fall.
